Last week I spent the morning at Swarthdale Stables photographing the owner, Kate and her cheeky boy Stanley. Situated just outside Over Kellet in the Lune Valley the stables are absolutely gorgeous! Its not surprising that Kate has a waiting list as long as my arm of people wanting to stable their horses at her yard. The location was perfect for photos, beautiful woods, open green space, huge arena and quirky stable windows. The weather however was not so delightful. We started off with dappled sunshine (which would have been ace if it had stayed like that) but that quickly turned into rain, some hail, wind and then sunshine again. Un-deterred by the four seasons, the 3 of us had a great time! Stan enjoyed his tub of apple bribes and I clambered here there and everywhere to get that perfect shot. It paid off, we achieved (in my humble opinion) a fantastic set of images. The problem when you have so many lovely images is how to choose your favourite?
